I have recently been diagnosed with S.V.T supraventricular tachycardia?
I am 41 and female,I was at work and my heart started to race and my blood pressure dropped.I was taken to hospital and a chest xray and blood tests were done (all came back clear) the episode lasted around an hour,I have had it before but only mild.I don’t smoke and don’t drink a lot of coffee or alcohol but the doctors want to do a halter moniter and echocardiogram test on me.Is this condition potentially dangerous,I am so sick with worry about it at the moment.
Usually SVT is more of a nuisance than dangerous. Sometimes they go in and zap it (ablate it) so it goes away it is really bad.

You’re getting good medical care! A Holter monitor will show them everything they need to know about your rhythm. There are many causes and generally speaking it is not dangerous. I know it’s unnerving! Don’t worry! Relax, have a good weekend – watch a comedy. And the next time you feel it, thank your lucky stars that you have good doctors looking after you.
The blood pressure drops because the heart isn’t efficiently keeping it up – nothing to fear, but something to see a doctor about… which is exactly what you are doing!
Please stop worrying! Really – this is quite common. You could go to the American Heart Association website or WebMD and see if they have information for you.

it can transform in to other arrhythmias, you should treat the cause, anytime it can be dangerous.

It is dangerous if you take uppers or any drugs that can increase your heart rate. Stay away from those because it can kill you, maybe not the first time but eventually. If your heart starts to feel weird then you have to relax and try to calm down. You can also get surgery or take medicine for it but the doctors will decide what to do once these tests are over. My boyfriend has SVT. He hasn’t been put on medicine for it but he was supposed to be.
Chey | Feb 07, 2010
Dont worry yourself in the middle of the night………….I have had this since i was 13 and again I just went in last year to get my heart checked…………I am 26 now……………..the halter moniter is those sticky pads you wear on your chest and when you feel your heart bump or want to start in its race then you hit the botton, looks kind of like an old style walkman you wear on a belt……..they may want you to do a stress test too, this is walking on a tread mill with wires connected to those sticky pads, they check your heart with exercise…………it is not dangerous as long as it is not going for like 5 hours……………then it could be,,,,,
When mine acts up I lay on the floor and breath like this,,,,,,,,,,,breath deep from your stomick, hold your breath and you can feel your heart skip a beat and it will go into normal rythem……Try it now sitting there at the computer like I am now breath deep place your hand on one side of your neck vain to feel your paulse…………hold breath………this puts pressure on the chest to make the heart slow down …sometimes it takes a few times of breathing to get it to work……..
.also to rub only one side of your neck vain helps to release a hormone to calm the heart….only one side to rub at a time because if you rub both artires in your neck it can cut off blood flow and make you a little dizzy
They will talk a local sergery too to fix this extra wire loop in the heart, the heart goes in a rythem and sometimes gets stuck in a fast rythem…….like stuck in a circle , this procedure is really nothing they will tell you, I have not gotten this because i can control it with my breathing and pushing down like I have a poop sometimes helps it just puts enough pressure to help the heart skip back into the normal loop wire rythem of the heart……….I hope this helped if any more questions email me at family50@ymail.com….

Thanks!
The vast majority of that list would be good choices, with a few exceptions: The Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and Flaubert works are too advanced for the great majority of teens, and Ulysses too complex probably for any teen. On the other end, the books by Edgar Rice Burroughs are too simple. If you’re looking for fast paced adventure in fantastic settings, there are many writers more recent than Burroughs who do it far better.
Of the books listed, my personal favorites are Pride and Prejudice, The Trial, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and Huckleberry Finn (although the last 1/3 or so of Huck Finn is not nearly as good as the earlier sections). The Sherlock Holmes books on the list are also great, and I loved reading them at about your age.

I would recomend reading Alice and wonderland. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I got through it in less than a day too. I have a shot attention span so that’s saying a lot

Another criminal justice question! Lawful?
Officer A was told by an informant that the informant had suspicions that C, in the apartment next door, was selling drugs from her (C’s) apartment. During the next 3 nights, Officer A surveilled C’s apartment and saw people of all kinds going in and out. Officer A stopped one of them who, upon being stopped, threw away what she had in her hand. That turned out to be crack cocaine. After retrieving the crack cocaine, Officer A entered the apartment without a warrant and found more cocaine on the living room table. Officer A seized the drugs. Was there anything invalid about Officer A’s actions?
If you have legit info, please help me out!! It will be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks
The exiting of people from C’s apartment, people carrying crack, constitutes "probable cause" to enter the apartment without a warrant – in some jurisdictions. I don’t agree with that abuse of "probable cause", but some jurisdictions are notorious for it. Colorado Springs are real buttholes about it, for example. They’ll basically say, "We heard giddy laughter coming from this house, so that gives us probable cause to suspect they have tons of marijuana in the house, so we’re busting the door in."
I know because I lived there. GROAN. Probable cause can be interpreted basically any way the officer sees fit nowadays. It’s a total violation of our 4th amendment rights, but then again, look at the Patriot Act!
Jadzia Riker | Jan 27, 2010
Yes.
The officer violated the 4th amendment rights of C.
You must get a warrant prior to entering the residence in those circumstances.
Citicop | Jan 27, 2010
I’m no law person so this is just what I think and not a fact.
I’m not sure about that but I saw on a cops show a cop saw some kind of illegal pipe through a window and he said he didn’t need a warrant because its in plane view and he went in the house…
hope that helps a little..
ron | Jan 27, 2010
Assuming your hypothetical is correct then the officer and the state may have severial options.
Option 1:
If the officer effected an arrest as you stated then a good defense attorney can get the evidence thrown out because of the lack of a warrant.
Option 2:
If the officer applied for a telephonic warrant then your friend is better off taking a plea and letting her attorney work out a good deal.
In most situation law enforcement uses the theory of exigent circumstances to justify their probable cause for entry into a residence when they find controlled substances on a person.

Contemporary American novels dealing with mistfits in society..?
For my thesis I am looking for contemporary American novels where the protagonist is externally adapted yet internally unable to live or be happy in their society. Currently I have three examples: "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison, "The Bell Jar" by Silvia Plath, "American Psycho" by Bret Ellis Easton" … I am grateful for all suggestions. Thank you in advance.
Rule of the Bone by Russell Banks.
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk.
Confederacy of Dunces y John Kennedy Toole
Are you sure you want to use American Psycho? Your first two novels concern people rebelling against conventions, they do not seem to fit with one about a sociopath.

Ramadan: Who was truthful Bibi Fatima (as) or AbuBaker?
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 53, Number 325:
Narrated ‘Aisha: (mother of the believers) After the death of Allah ’s Apostle Fatima the daughter of Allah’s Apostle asked Abu Bakr As-Siddiq to give her, her share of inheritance from what Allah’s Apostle had left of the Fai (i.e. booty gained without fighting) which Allah had given him. Abu Bakr said to her, "Allah’s Apostle said, ‘Our property will not be inherited, whatever we (i.e. prophets) leave is Sadaqa (to be used for charity)." Fatima, the daughter of Allah’s Apostle got angry and stopped speaking to Abu Bakr, and continued assuming that attitude till she died. Fatima remained alive for six months after the death of Allah’s Apostle.
ONLY A TRUTHFUL CAN INVOKE CURSE OF ALLAH ON LIARS
QURAN 3:61] If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!"
This verse refers to the well-known event of mubahilah mentioned in every book of history, traditions and tafsir written by Muslim scholars.
The Holy Prophet was sending invitations to all to accept the true religion of Allah. Tribe after tribe, region after region, were coming into the fold of Islam. One such invitation was sent to the Christians of Najran, a town in Yemen, in the 9th year of Hijra. A deputation of 60 scholars came to discuss the matter with the Holy Prophet. Abdul Masih, the chief monk, asked him as to who was the father of Isa, thinking that the Holy Prophet would accept (God as the father of Isa. Verse 59 of this surah was revealed and presented to the Christians as a reply but they did not listen to reason. Then this verse was revealed to call them to a spiritual contest by invoking the curse of Allah on the liars mubahilah. The Christians agreed to this contest.
Early next morning, the 24th of the month of Dhilhijjah, the Holy Prophet sent Salman to the selected site, outside the city area, to set up a shelter for those whom he would take with him, as his sons, women and selves.
A large number of companions assembled in the masjid, making themselves available for the selection. On the opposite side of the field, selected for the contest, the Christians, with their selected men, women and children appeared on the scene.
At the appointed hour, a huge crowd, standing in wait, saw the Holy Prophet coming in, Imam Husayn in his arms, Imam Hasan holding his index finger, walking beside him, Bibi Fatimah Zahra, close to his heels and Imam Ali just behind her-as his sons, women, and selves. It should be noted that although there was provision for "women" and "selves" the Holy Prophet selected one "woman" and one "self"-Fatimah and Ali, because there was no woman and no man among his followers at that time who could be brought into the contest of invoking the curse of Allah on the liars. They alone were the truthful ones. (see commentary of al Tawbah: 119).
The Holy Prophet raised his hands to the heaven and said:
"O my Lord! These are my Ahle-Bait"
it was mistake by hz abu baker …sunnis admit it ….do you think holy fatima needs it for her comforts …..HER MOTHER WAS THE RICHEST LADY OF ARABIA >>>AND DIED SCRIFICED HER LIFE <EATING LEAVES……..actually it was better for ummah …it was a just a test …later on umer bin abdul aziz give it back …to bnu hashim …after him again taken back ….
